The trick (if there is one) is not to be stingy with your drops. Simple strategy that will easily get you into the double digit range: Add a drop to each puddle that is one drop from being full; skip those that are on border of the grid (usually about 4 to 6). Now add one more drop to set the thing off and sit back and watch the fireworks. Rinse, repeat.

Yeah, if you set off enough combos you are laughing where droplet stock is concerned.
That said, I ain't been able to make it past level 23... there's a fair bit of luck involved in the game too.

Yeah, I'm with you on the luck aspect. Your game can go right down the shitter if it gives you a couple crap starting layouts in a row.

It seems pretty random to me, I haven't noticed repeats. I agree with the luck thing too.
