Haha. The negative vote has pulled away over at Eidos. Seems we're the starry-eyed optimists, while the official Eidos boards are brimming with hard-bitten cynics. Who knew? :p

That's practically quantum mechanics for me.
In other news I heard a totally made up rumour EM were going to reboot Tetris.
After consulting focus groups EM spent 2 years making Tetris pieces out of various materials so they could see verify their reflective properties.
Further all the blocks will be square so new players don't get discouraged by failure, and there will be QTE sequences guiding the blocks to the correct positions regardless of which control button is used or even if no control button is pressed at all.
There will be a special 'drop block" button but this will only work when the block is over the correct position which highlights in blue as an aid to aiming.
The player will earn XP for every completed line with a "headshot : 40XP" message which the hardcore players can turn off if they want.
Reactions from the fans have been "overwhelmingly positive"

In life, there are absolutes. In life, if A needs to be true in order for B to be true, and if B is proven to be true first, we can conclude that A is true.
A "True Thief Fan" is one who was there from the beginning, purchasing each game in the years they came out. A TTF is one who thinks, as a whole, those 3 games are among the best ever created. A TTF is one who plays each of the games on a regular basis and plays fan missions as well. A True Thief Fan loves to talk about, debate, create, get lost in, live, anything Thief related.
A True Thief Fan does not say they will not buy this fourth installment. As I look at the poll results, I see a lot of False Thief Fans. Fair Weather Fans. This goes back to the A B argument. If you are hard set that you won't buy Thief 4, then you are not a TTF. Call it hardcore fan. Call it fanatical. Call it whatever you will, but you are not at that TTF level.
I am not disrespecting those people or saying they are anything less than what a TTF is (because it is purely opinion), but those who are overly critical, even downright disrespectful of T4, should be viewed in a different light than those of us at the highest level of fandom. "Taken with a grain of salt" is what comes to mind when dealing with them. We should listen to what they have to say, digest it without being dismissive, and then let them go about their way, all the while knowing that deep inside, their credibility in the Thief universe is not at our level.
BTW, I will be there on day one to buy Thief for the Playstation 4.

I wish someone would reboot 'Candy Land'--make it darker and more sinister... and with lots more blood this time.

Interesting. It seems that 40% of the users on this site are not as Loyal to the franchise as I thought. A True Thief Fan would never put his or herself in any of those bottom 3 categories.
40% Ouch!
