Fmr. Jordanian Intelligence Official: Americans Have "Blown Zarqawi So Out Of Proportion That, Of Course, His Prestige Has Grown"´:

Like Moussaoui I believe Zarqawi was pretty much a nobody. In order to justify the continues stay in Iraq they need their boogiemen. I believe the next boogieman will be 'found' in Iran, a certain almost powerless president

and of course some of you start bitching like always. Jesus just take the news for once and shut up.
[bitching]Hmm, I'm curious about "collateral damage" of that manhunt operation.[/bitching]
News shouldn't make people shut up, news should make people think!

3 other people, and a child.
And on the other subthread, yeah, I love the way how he's portrayed as the MOST WANTED MAN IN IRAQ, because his organisation was responsible for HUNDREDS of deaths, never mind the fact that the total number of civilian deaths is counted in the tens of thousands. Wait, they don't do body counts, I meant 'estimated.'

The insurgents will carry on without him
Does this guy even realise that there's more then one insurgent faction? Oh, right, don't answer that.

its not that I care that people voice their opinions to whatever news they hear, lord knows i sure do, its just that everything always seems so negative around here.

Contentious and controversial issues are going to trend negative because people have serious and honest disagreements.

I love it. It's okay to show this guy's dead body on TV but show a US or UK troop's body and oh no you broke the rules! Way to go for stopping any notion of double standards.
So what! Was it ok for Zarqawi to saw a man's head off and post the video on the internet?
