Part of me says, since they were 100% convinced he was in the house, wouldn't it have been better to take him into custody? Of course, I don't know all the logistics and they may have had a small window of opportunity in which to strike, but still. I wonder if that was even considered.

Wonderful. The richest, most powerful country in the history of the planet finally managed to kill some guy. At this rate, the so-called terrorists are more likely to die of old age than being killed by the U.S. military.

But hey, at least there's been about (http://www.iraqbodycount.org/) 40 thousand civilians killed in this (http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=182) 300 billion (!) dollar "war", so it hasn't been a total loss. It must be good to be a part of the military-industrial-political complex these days, and get your slice of that incomprehensibly big pile of money. The plan seems to be working very well, considering many problems in the middle east - and to some extent the current trend of islamic terrorism - are a direct consequence of U.S. politics in that area.
