You know, I was gonna make the awesome non-stop drifting game. But playing Absolute Drift it's such a smooth, wonderful ride I'm not even sorry someone beat me to it. This game is just pure bliss. You drive around leisurely and do the "missions" at your own pace, which unlocks the next section of the world for you to drift around in. There are time-based challenge arenas and tracks where your time is compared to others on the leaderboard, but that stuff is totally optional.

Oh my... It's as if Dirt and the Mirror's Edge time trials had gone and had a baby. Possibly after having too much vodka.
It's very much the kind of game where I'd love a demo, though. I'm not that good at drifting in racing games, so I could imagine playing this, realising that I suck and giving it up for some artsy walking simulator.

Looks a bit like Neo Drift Out with a zoomed top down perspective

Another video, of some driving around in free roam.

Playing this makes me think I'd probably be on-board for a quasi-back-to-its-roots GTA, with this kind of perspective.

The gameplay manages to be easy to pick up and play, but hard to master. Just like in racing sims, fine control of the throttle and steering are important. Gamepad recommended.
Never heard of Neo Drift Out, 90sgamer, but looking at some videos it looks familiar. Might've seen it in an arcade or something.
