Hi all
Wish me luck - my gaming cherry's about to pop properly as I boot this awesome game up for the second time after several years (couldn't get it to work the first time around)

You tried to get it to run and then just gave up for years? That's lame. . .

Yeah, it was pretty lame - my apologies. :o
Thing is I've been up all bloody night and it still won't work - perhaps "getting SS2 to actually work" is itself part of the game.. ;)

I've had two computers with XP on it, and both times I got SS2 working without any troubles. Maybe my knowledge of the game's tech problems helps there, though. ;)

Another worm ridden human to fill our ranks.
The song of The Many unifies us all in the joy and the harmony...(I wonder if I can yank that worm out of my body like Diego did..)

A little secret, *that* wasn't a worm.

A little hint for the first playthrough: play it at night alone in a dark room.
It's a bloody miracle my mouse survived this game intact.

Playing at night alone in the dark can be harmful to the mouse and keyboard. ;)

As I remember playing SS2 many, many years ago at night ... alone ... there were parts of the game where I would just cower in a corner from fear just listening to the environmental sounds of The Many, monkeys and droids in the map. I just didn't want to move at all.
