About the RSS feed... - by scumble

Is it possible, perhaps, to get an excerpt of the relevant post in there? I have no idea if vB lets you do this, but it might be possible...
It's fine with bookmarks in Firefox, but with a newsreader (like SharpReader) it's nice to have an excerpt to see if the post is going to be of much interest.
Any thoughts Dave?

Ah yes, much better :) The trouble is, that doesn't get picked up by Firefox etc. - I guess it's because of how the alternate link tags are defined in the head of the page. In many cases Firefox picks up several options.

I'll add that into the template when I get home. I manually added the current one as, for some reason, it isn't be default in vB3.

So far so good...
The only criticism I have of the rss2 feed is that it doesn't include information on which particular forum a post came from, which the rss1 feed did. I don't think it shows the last poster either, just the thread starter. Might be more trouble than it's worth to change, but it'd make things just a little bit more perfect!
