Just a random though:
Do you have experienced other play-styles in Deus Ex, and managed to finish the game? I have read about the non-kill approach, but it is the only variation I am aware of for Deus Ex. Thus I would like to ask you if you have tried other variations.

Try specialising in certain skills, eg just melee weapons or just pistols. Try not taking the hacking skill. Try not to use a single multitool/lockpick/both. Try taking all the augs you didn't take last game.
Just to name a few. :)

Play kill everyone mode, where you kill everyone the game will let you
There are certain variations that take place by playing this route espec
when talking to manderley.
Play Matrix mode, by going to the versalife lab or the MJ12 base
activating cheats so you have all weapons activating the Matrix
mode and killing everyone in a bloody gunbattle without using
protective cheats (god, allhealth, etc)

Picking a single combat skill will not be that difficult, but I think it will be much more difficult if you do NOT take weapons associated to other skills ;) (i.e., if you choose melee weapons, you cannot use rifles, LAM, pistols, and so on)
I wonder if you can actually play the game without multitools and/or lockpicks. I will have to try :)
Killing everyone may lead to an interesting game, and those soldiers will not bother me any longer. Besides, who knows if they are not spies or betrayers? You can never be for sure, so kill them and you will be safe (erh... if you manage to survive the fight that is)
Has anyone tried to finish the game as fast as possible? I have not a single idea about the minimal time required to reach the end (I would say that I do my best in order to play as slow as possible, but that is another matter *Grins*)

Or Place a LAM on Maggie Chows Window,
then get on the roof of her appt without
being noticed (Easier than you think)
Jump across to jocks Appt and shoot
out the LAM with a sniper rifle.
