I...I'm sorry. The singer was flat when he hit his first sustained note. He sounded like he wasn't into the performance right off the bat. My initial impression was that maybe he needs a better monitor for himself, maybe an in-ear monitor, eventually. I wasn't going to say anything. :(

Well, in defense of the singer, the fact that his voice deteriorates over the set is something that he and we are aware of and needs work to build some more control and stamina, and there are a couple of problems caused by basically pushing too hard for the sake of power - which not only destroys the voice eventually but also pushes some of the notes sharp.
Your singer sounds like shit from note one, which is consistent with the other recording I heard of you guys. He needs to develop his voice, which means he should be pushed harder. How often does he practice? Does he consistently go balls out or does he dial it back on some difficult parts? Does he call it quits once his voice starts breaking and his throat gets sore or does he push on through?
Your singer sings the way a guitarist who hasn't built up finger callouses plays guitar. Once he's properly broken in he can work on developing his atypical singing style into something that actually works.

Yeh Fingernail the consensus if pretty specific, same things I said about your previous stuff, the vocals were awful, off key and terrible tone, very nasally 'head' type of voice. I have played with plenty of amazing vocalists, and it makes an incredible difference. Obviously you dont agree, or you would have ditched the singer already. Maybe you just cant find anyone else?
Another thing, in my experience the better the singer the more you have to pander to their ego, so maybe this has something to do with it as well, it sounds like you want creative control of this outfit.

The performance was pretty schizo: some songs you were boring me to tears and others you actually kind of looked like you were enjoying yourselves. Boy Waving Goodbye is a pretty bouncy song and you guys are hardly moving. Jason and the Argonauts, you actually look like you might actually like being in a band. It's probably due to some songs being new and some being old, but it's still really a buzzkill when the band could be asleep on their feet.
