Ah, nothing reminds me more of teatime on Saturdays like The A-Team. Except maybe Buck Rogers. I wonder if they honour the golden A-Team rule that nobody dies in combat.

I was surprised at how un-crud the trailer looked tbh. But yeah, the whistling was bad. Why do they have to ram so many "nods" into these things? It was ok when Arnie said "I'll be back" in another film the first or second time but it the whole thing got old years ago.

Oh yeah, the movie looks awesome. But as you say, there's still some head-shaking to be done. Like with Arnie and "I'll be back," Mr. T never said "Pity the fool" or anything else fool-related in the A-Team. That was from Rocky III. But apparently now it's all he's ever done.

On the other hand: PARACHUTE TANK. I endorse that kind of silliness. :D

And it certainly delivered on the actionscenes though the characters were two dimensional as hell. As the film begins we're introduced to the clever guy, the crazy guy, the smoothtalking guy and the guy who finishes every other sentence with the word "fool" and by the end of the film we really haven't learned anything more about these guys. But nevermind that, there's this one scene where they're falling out of the sky in a tank that has had two of it's three parachutes destroyed by jetfighters, so the tank is hurtling at the ground way too fast. Luckily the clever guy comes up with the idea to point the turret sideways and start shooting in order to position the tank so it lands in a lake and cushions their fall. Phew, good thinking clever guy! :D
