I hate to sound sentimental, but I do miss the days when I took snow in winter for granted. Anyway, that's a great picture. I didn't even put a wreath on my door this year.

It's nice to have an occasional White Christmas. Unfortunately, where I live the phrase can also mean "Ash from the fire that's headed this way is gonna set your roof on fire", so I'm happy with regular old cold weather...

Wow, I'm jealous. I don't think we've had snow like that here in 10+ years. :(
It's looking like another ridiculously mild winter too. Last winter it wasn't even consistently freezing until mid January, looking at the forecast it seems likely to be about the same this year.
Do be fair I am living on a ski resort, so the snow thing is sort of expected...

Your house looks so festive, MsLedd. :) Congrats on having a white Christmas! Send some snow my way, OK?

Most of our snow is gone for the moment, there's still some patches here and there. I might be able to send you some in the mail. :D

I was GONNA say something slightly sarcastic and inviting everybody everywhere to visit a REALLY cold place where it's snowy EVERYDAY, but, sweet merciful crap, I just came back from a trip up north to visit my parents north of the arctic AND IT'S JUST BARELY SNOW! It was even raining not two weeks ago! Rain! December! Arctic! AAArrrgh! My entire persona of mocking other people's weather is... melting!
Typically, it's -10C to -35C in December. 1-2m of snow. Rain, it isn't. WTF..?
(Yes, we had a white christmas, but just barely. I blame all the rich people for... well, being full of it, and bringing it here.)
