A little background for those of you who don't know: I've lived my entire life in the Bay Area of California. Needless to say, I've never had a "White Christmas" (unless you count doing cocaine, but, somehow I don't think that's what Bing Crosby was singing about).
Anyway, we moved to Colorado in September (it's a different planet... I love it!). We've had several snows so far, but as of yesterday most of it was gone and the prediction was no snow until the end of the week. I was seriously disappointed... I know, it's a silly, cliché thing, but I really wanted a white Christmas.
Well... I just woke up to this view from my bedroom window:

Okay, now I'm going back to bed...
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Doubt we have one in Seattle today, though I haven't bothered to check.
Still, after going to college in western Massachusetts, I've seen quite enough snow and ice:(

Just cold here, no snow

Whoa. First of all, who said you could leave this urban [sprawl] paradise? Second, I remember back in the mid '70s there being snow on the valley floor. Don't know what time of year, but must've been in winter. Third... well since you're already tucked in there, I guess I can only say Merry Christmas!
What happened to the lush green I see on Stargate SG-1 whenever they show Colorado.:p Seriously, congrats on living in a less nutso area. And it comes in white, too.

You lucky woman! It's black, dark and dreary here in Finland, insanely warm too (about +5C) :( In good ol' days™ we had snow for Christmas almost every year, but no more.

After no snow for two weeks... It's snowing here, in Vancouver.

No white Christmas for us once again. We get them every five years, or so. At least it's dry and properly freezing.

I think we've exceeded our snow quota for this millennium already. Remember the winter two years ago? It was snowing like crazy, temperature wobbling between -30 and -20 degrees celsius*. If one went outside looking like this :cheeky:, then he'd go back inside looking the same, unfortunately.. Hymy hyyty vast sit ku parta suli.
*Disclaimer: Winter might vary depending on location.

I got the same winter wonderland that MsLedd did- Hey, Ledd, where in Colo are you anyway? I'm in Capitol Hill near downtown D-town. I'm trying to guess by the house picture and I'm drawing a blank. By the way, kudos for not going with a Mcmansion. Goddamned things are proliferating like cockroaches or SUVs in the Denver area.
