I'm just wondering if there's a clear explanation of what you have to do in order to enable difficulty-based objectives in your mission. I tried following the tutorial about that (I don't remember who's the author, though, but it's a 5-part one, if you know what I'm talking about), but the best I can achieve after doing all the required stuff includes everything in that tutorial minus any objectives (they simply disappear - normal objectives disappear after the first start of the mission, and difficulty-based objectives never ever appear).
Is there any clearer explanation of this, or maybe someone can help?
Thanks in advance.

It's interesting, has anyone yet achieved any results with the difficulty-based objectives? I tried re-doing everything from scratch, the objectives show up initially (when the Entry map loads, I presume) and then they simply disappear as soon as the map itself loads. I've created the conversations/scripts properly. I wonder what my mistake might be?
Thanks in advance.

I have to admit I had no luck with the tutorial either, I think we need a taffers guide full of screenshots to show what you need to do - maybe it's just us of course :D

Argh, can it be easier? :laff: :nono:
Even don't know how to help you guys, because everything works for me.
Or maybe I forgot to write about something?..

As I said d'spair maybe we just need it broken down into smaller chunks with screenshots, that way at least if something on your screen doesnt match ours we know where we're going wrong (just a suggestion).

Well, d'Spair, maybe you can just clarify the situation with the disappearing of objectives? Do you know the reason why this might happen? What might I have done wrong so it doesn't work?
Please, any suggestions would be welcome, because I can't start a FM without actually setting up the difficulty levels... Maybe you can send me your Bank set of levels so I can see how it's setup, along with the conversations, flags and stuff?
That would be great!
If you can, please send it to:

Thanks in advance.

yeah nice idea- maybe hosting the file somewhere for everyone to see. I wonder if once we get this stuff working we should do video tutorials for others to learn how to do stuff same as the ut2k4 special dvd.

I would've, but, I'm afraid, the whole stuff with .ibts and so on is... just a sec... is 19 mb :erm:  :tsktsk:
I wonder how can I cut some unnecesary things out of the package...
Agetian on 12/3/2005 at 17:17
Well, you can try cutting out the IBT files - that should make the file size go down drastically. Just try zipping in the *.unr files (even *.gmp files are not needed!), and custom Flags/Ints/Conversations. Maybe I forgot something essential?...
Anyway, you got the idea.
Thanks in advance.
Later!

Well, I'll try to, but I don't promise that it will work via the game... This way the size is only 1.4 mb.
