Hey, it's just level 3 we are talking about - I've just started:)
Maybe Matthew was right - it is also the fact that I've been there that makes it easier.:)

I think the message box when I had reached 75 in heavy armor told me that my armor would now not slow me down as much anymore when I run and swim.
Anyway, that's over. :D I'm glad that I don't have to waste half of my limited carrying capacity anymore on these huge metal pieces of armor. Being female, and a woodelf ( = starting strength = 30), that was sort of a pain.
The orcish female armor looks terrible, btw!

Really? I don't think I have ever seen the female dwarven mesh, my female wood elf uses light armour because she is an archer, but I just looked at the female dwarven mesh, and yes it looks bad, mainly because its the same as the male one. In my opinion, the worse female mesh is the chainmail one.

I didn't diss the female dwarven set - that one, I actually like. Except the helmet, hehe.
But that orcish set with the rings through the nipples, that's atrocious. :eww:
First time I saw Methredel in her plain clothes (she's wearing a huntsman vest) was a scary moment, too. I thought she was halfway in a striptease session and was running around in her bra... with all her female flatmates present, that was very weird.
But oh well. My woodelf runs around in the elven set at the moment, too, but the helmet looks stupid. So does the chestpiece, to a point. Haven't come across any glass armors yet, but I think I may turn to plain clothes with enchantments in the end (dark shirt + blacksmith's pants + some black or dark hood + some set of shoes which I'm not sure about yet = goodness.) :D

Glass armour is ok, but it is too bulky, the pauldrons give my character very wide shoulders so she looks male when following her in third person.

I doubt that the NPCs react differently to your character based on the gender.
Right at the beginning the other prisoner who taunts you threatened to rape my female character - or that someone else would (long time ago, can't remember exactly). But my male character just got general bodily harm comments.

Hm... you could argue that this is just a difference in the selection of the soundfile, too. Sanity seemed to experience more fundamental differences, such as hostile NPCs hurting her female character not as badly as her previous male characters.
That guy told my female woodelf, that she'd go mad because of claustrophobia and then she'd get killed by the guards. He didn't threat to rape her (I would've remembered that and found a way back to him, now that I'm armed and dangerous. :ebil: ) I guess he says stuff according to your race, and your gender. Perhaps your female character was a dunmer or any other race that gave him this specific idea?

Because I'm interested and I'm sure it would be another reason why the ratings were changed I will look it up on my CS..."I must surely be dead, and in the halls of Azura to look upon such a vision. You are so beautiful, my dear Dunmer maiden...One of the guards owes me a favor, you know. I could get us put in the same cell. Would you like that? You should have some fun before the end. Yeah, you heard me. No matter what the law says. No matter what they told you. You're going to die in here! You're going to die!"
You can kill that guy who mocks you at the start, its part of a quest, a very fun quest.

Hm... does Eyja move in with male characters?
From my chat with her just now I got the impression that she's not too fond of male bosses who'd taken her in as a bedmate...
You can kill this friendly guy from the prison? Lovely! As he wasn't part of the fighters guild quests, and neither mages nor thieves are all about killing people, I guess I should perhaps give in and check out the Dark Brotherhood again? It's really just that I am not too fond about killing stuff without any motive.
If creepy guy in the black coat would for instance just have told me why Rufius is a target, I'd be so much more willing to do it. Maybe I'll just join them to see if I can kill them all after the questline, their sanctuary gave me such a feeling like I was in a fort and they were the monsters.

Eyja does move in with male characters, but she doesn't become your bedmate or anything like that.
The quest to kill the guy in the Imperial city prison is the third quest in the dark brotherhood, first quest being the one to kill the pirates, second one being to kill a guy in Bruma, I'm not sure who he is but he has a pet thug so he can hardly be a good person. The guy in prison is actaully in prison because he is hiding out from the dark brotherhood, he thought the dark brotherhood couldn't break into the imperial city prison...
