I've been playing Morrowind for some time now and I'm at the past where I have to get the houses to proclaim me the war leader. Im just a little concerned however that as I keep leveling up I'll start losing abilities because I'm getting older so to speak. Does this happen in the game because the latest level up messages sure do hint at it.

Nope, your skills don't go down because you are 'too old', mainly because there's no age advancement in the game. Also, they don't go down if you don't use them.
The only time they go down is if you get hit by a spell that reduces your skills (or equip an item that reduces them). Heading to a shrine and getting cured will fix that though. Most of them wear off over time though.

There is a mod which means you have to keep you skills toned but I'm sure you'd know whether you have it or not.

One other way of losing stats is by being arrested. Which means you'll have to work to get them back.

Allright thanks. Thatt means I can finally level up again and with all the level ups I saved, It should only happen about oh at least 5 times in a row.

I like having levels stacked like that, heh. Only, be sure to do some training inbetween sleeping to get those multipliers. If you want them, anyway.

Yeah actually I do that alot. Boy does that pay off! I managed to get all the way up to 100 in agility and marksmanship in no time

I just remembered something - Didn't Bethesda try to explain it away ingame by saying the Nerevarine doesn't age? Vivec, Almalexia, and Sotha Sil certainly didn't. 'course, there's no explaining all the other NPCs.

When you get far enough in the main quest, that's the case. Doesn't really apply if you don't do the main quest though. But, I'd rather not age and lose my skills.
