*Necromances the thread*
I saw it this weekend, excellent movie. The rotoscoping serves its purpose, truely. And the nature of the story itself along with the rotoscoping made it hard to... detach from the movie. I had trouble focusing on reality for like half an hour afterwards, if you know what I'm trying to describe (you know...you exit the movie and you walk into a crowd of people and you have trouble focusing on faces/everyone seems to be walking quickly. Is this only me? Oh well >_>) But yes, unlike the book which is dark, ominous, and laden with panic stricken paranoia, the movie is humorous and surreal and some of the dialogs are drug induced oddities that you may or may not enjoy (having had such drug induced conversations myself I found them entertaining), but it was great over all. Surreal visuals and funny dialogs with what I thought was great acting by all parts. Overacting as someone stated before is definitely false, I guess you grow to understand this more as the nature of the drug itself and the characters involved is revealed to you. Yata yata my boss is lurking so I have to wrap this up. Great movie, go see it.
