Not trying to trash anyone else's preferences here, but I watched the 24-minute intro on IGN and I thought it was shit.
I don't mean the animation--that I thought was cool. But the script and the acting (from everyone except Keanu, surprisingly) were terrible. The drug addict was annoying as hell and seriously overacted his part; Robert Downy Jr was trying way too hard; and then the segment ends with a lengthy discussion among adults over how many gears a bike has.
I just don't get how this is enjoyable to watch. It made me cringe.

It was perfect, I thought. Overacting? He acted exactly like an addict should. The whole whole bike gear thing was off the wall and obviously Substance D induced. It reminded me of a few of my own drug induced conversations =/
The movie is about a very powerful very addictive drug that everyone seems to be on, all the characters will be quite surreal, and the dialog/plot I'm sure is going to be like a bad acid trip. I was never under the impression that it should be taken seriously.
