Well for America, the potential problems could be shut out by first stopping all immigration from muslim countries and developing our own oil resources (Alaska and the Gulf coast which have a lot of untapped potential from what I've read). As long as the Islamic religion is in place in the region to help provide religious sanction and fuel for their hate of Israel, America, and anyone else who disagrees with them-political solutions are a waste of time.The mideast has been 'failing' for a long time and the United States isn't going to make a bit of difference unless we simply wiped out the arabs and the iranians, which would do the trick but would be rather messy. I say we let them fly at each other's throats and stay out of it. Iran's nuclear program is primarily a threat to Israel and they should be the ones to handle it without us interfering in any way.

I really think you misunderstood his comment about wiping out the Persians and Arabs. I'd place a bet Dr Sneak doesn't want America to do that (he was making a comparison of options. By comparing option A to option B and making option B extreme then it makes option A reasonable). Classic StD none-the-less. ;)
