A question of stability...

Is there anyone running the editor without any crashes? Is this something that will happen to everyone or is it linked to some parameter, size, meshes, etc? I want to try the editor but if it is anywhere near as complicated as it sounds on the forum I will never succeed.

My editor has never crashed. I had one map that crashed when I tried to play it, but the forum came up with two work-arounds so I can still use it. Some people had problems with certain video cards. I think they worked most of those out.

And, no, the editor is not that complicated. At least not as much so as Dromed.

I agree, it's tricky at first, but becomes very intuitive. I've had very few crashes, they occur, but not very often.

I have had a few lock ups but that was my own fault I think, trying to run too many programs at once. Dont hesitate to try the editor though, its fun and once you get going it gets easier.
