Both games (T1/T2 & SS2) use same engine right?
If so, why can I run T1 and T2 on my pc but not SS2?
Scuse plz if that's a noob question to the 3rd power, but I AM a noob to the 3rd power when it comes to pc stuff! :erg:

This question probably belongs in the technical/troubleshooting or legacy gaming forums.
You don't say what happens when you try to run it, so it's kind of hard to troubleshoot for you.
In my case I can't play it if I use the cutscenes/movies, so I just play without them, and watch them on my desktop when the appropriate time comes in game. Of course, to do that you need to know when they are supposed to play...
Try (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69958) How To Run System Shock 2, and see if any of that helps. It's an awesome game, totally worth arguing with to get it to run.

But iirc, it would just crash at boot up, or it would'nt install at all, one of those two I think!

These three games use three different versions of the same engine. For example,
Thief 1 allows one to play without Hardware graphics support, while
Thief 2 does not. (No idea whether that has anything to do with the engine, though.)
Unfortunately, this means that each of these games may have its own problems while the others run fine.
