hey guyz, does anybody know what ending dx2 originates from? i mean, is it the one with helios, or the illuminati? definetly not the one with tong. i was just curious

I hope when (WHEN, not IF) they release the demo, they won't spoil the surprise (like NOLF2's two demos). That would be swell.

i'm hoping they take the Helios/New God ending. it would be pretty nice to go up against a mad computer human hybrid who will not allow the world to develop further, and realize you doomed the world when you got rid of "him", plot twisting it's way to another storyline. bum bum bum.

IMO, as I saw the picture on pp.42 of August PCGamer, which is a MJ12 commando-looking soldier (but meaner), I'd suspect that DX2 starts with Illuminati ending of DX. JC Helios needs no such soldier to do its bidding.

I recall a pic on the DX2 site which had some dude is battle armour called a Templar, so the Illuminati would tie into that. It would make sense in terms of plotting the game (the other two endings don't let us have a sequel that's got the same type of stuff happening - it wouldn't have the similar feel to DX)

hmm.. i was thinking, and maybe, maybe they'll use none of the endings in DE1. kinda like in the Evil Dead movies, where the first one really did not happen if you follow the storyline of the other two..

All I know is that they are doing something that you are "not going to expect", while still following on from DX1, I suspect.
So I doubt that any one ending will be picked. my two guesses are either that the introducuton will be broad enough for all possibilities to be covered, or the intro will somehow allow the player to choose which option happened, and then have the story fold down to one starting point after that.
Or they could do something I don't expect ... which could be more likely.
