And long go the days of a family friendly forum.... Keep it up! :thumb:
I've seen this complaint twice in the last week around here. It's a site for games that originally involved stabbing, shooting, and robbing from people to achieve objectives. It's not, nor has it ever been a family friendly forum. You may have ttlg confused with (

So I got an acceptance for that flat with the big rooms right around the corner from the current tenants. And a few days later they called me and said they'd found a nice girl who'd also like to move in. I went over to meet her and she is indeed very nice and I think of Indian descent. Let's call her Sheela. She works as a corrector at a publishing house and we got along great from the first moment on. Maybe because I have similar interests, studying linguistics, among other things. Sheela also met Charlie later on and despite Charlie being her usual moody self (HISSS!) Sheela seemed to like her. All fine so far.
Just that the tenants of said flat started making up weird conditions, like we should pay the deposit to them and in cash, instead of remitting it to the landlord, and later we learned per chance that their contract said they would actually have to leave the flat renovated, which they didn't plan to, nor had they told us about it. To cut things short, they tried to rip us off in a petty way.
Meanwhile Sheela and I phoned a lot and eventually got to the conclusion that we should at least take a look on the slim chance that there were any other flats available for us two on short-notice. So we did and yesterday she called me and sent me to a meeting with a landlord not far from here in another apartment. It was a great flat, right under the roof, three rooms, 75 m2 and all newly renovated for the same price of the other flat. The landlord was very friendly and while he first let me sign a long list of interested parties, after a bit of chatting he told me I could have the flat if I wanted.
Minor catch: He wanted to get over with it and not come out and show someone around again. At this point I boldly claimed that Sheela would move in with me anyway, relying on my assessment alone. A bit later I had a phone call with the landlord and we discussed the details, making an appointment for Friday to sign contracts. Being a cat owner himself, he was fine with my cat moving in with me. Then I called Sheela and she agreed to drop the other flat and to move into the new flat with me, which she has never seen. She already sent me her half of the required deposit and beginning Saturday we'll move our stuff over. We have yet to decide on who gets which rooms, maybe we'll throw a coin if we can't decide. The rooms are a bit smaller since there are three, but then we'll have a common living room, which I think is nice.
Must be kismet or karma. :)

If she's going to be making curry for you on a regular basis, and she's a good cook, then you need to have the next TTLG meet at your flat. [/jealous rage about Indian food]
