I found something interesting while poking around in the GECK today. Any kind of Radiation Suits will boost the rad resistances of NPCs who wear them by 100%, regardless of the bonus that the player would get from wearing them. Might be useful to know when equipping companions for various high-radiation areas.

Rad Suits, Advanced Rad Suits, and Environment Suits do. Lesko's Lab Coat doesn't. I didn't check anything else.
