I am skeptical, 'cuz I worked weeks on changing the gravity setting, following the unreal tutorials, and no changes came out. Thief 3 lacks of the proper libraries for changing the gravity, I guess.
Could you tell me how did you get it? Tell me the specific techincal changes, so I can orientate myself.
@ New Horizon: that horrible chinese is worst even than the guitar twangings. I wonder why some people act like this in front of the cameras.
Simple: search for the word "gravity' in default.ini. There's is a negative number here. The more negative it is, the stronger the magnetic of the "earth" will be.
Though I adjusted this very, very slightly. I just did that for fun, is all.

Hi,
I re-made the Kernel and Main Menu IBT Files. And now I have a problem. I re-installed Thief 3 completely, removed all saved files, etc. but the problem's still there.
My problem is: Whenever I complete the training mission and enter the castle mission, and the game loads the castle mission, my PC just stops Thief 3 and goes right back to my desktop. This problem keeps coming, nomatter what I do.
Regards,
Tony Ayalew.

This should be to discuss in the proper Kernel/IBT thread not here, Tony :p
Search it with the search function in the forum. This thread is only about your Thief mod.

Also, if you come here before searching up any potential answers - check your save games folder. Whatever the last page of the T3Main.log says might be useful.
(if you don't have one, swap the T3Main for the T3MainEditorVersion, then play it until it crashes as before. and it should generate the log file).
There's a good chance it's just missing something stupid and easy to fix, and the log file should help finding whatever that may be.

Thanks! I checked the texts in saved games. There are a lot of texts here (about 10). I read "T3Main" and "matlog". None of them refer to something missig or corrupted. Just some useless things - "warnings" - but none of those warnings refer to smotheing I changed.
I guess i should wait until tiens... is ready.
If anyone else here wants to help to create an IBT and.or installer, please speak.
-Tony.

What are the last few lines of T3Main.log after you've had the game crash?
Most of the rest of the file, yes, is going to be full of WARNING! <blah> lines about which things it always whines about, but when there's an a fatal crash it usually tells you why near the bottom, stuff like mising static meshes or bits of the hud or vertex-pool sizes being too small or map-names being mangled, that kind of thing.
Just trying to be helpful - there's probably some daft little file you forgot to include (it usually is for me)

This is the latest warning, about some file I didn't even know it was there:
ERROR: Missing resource file (_Missing) not found! (INVhealthpotion1A1 original)
WARNING: Failed to create resource: INVhealthpotion1A1
Log : Viewport WindowsViewport__0: WM_DisplayChange
So... what now?

Did you not say you'd changed the healthpotions into the nightvision goggles?
Try putting a copy of the INVHealthPotion1A1.tim file into the directory structure under .../StaticMeshes/DynamicallyLoaded/INVHealthPotion1A1.tim
You can ge a copy of it in the editor, under ../StaticMeshes/INV_Weapon_UI

I just fixed the problem. And yes, you are right Ziemanskye. to be more precise:
In the gamesys.t3u, the invhelathpotion has been replaced by eye_garrett. The Kernel files will then have only eye_garrett, and no health potion. Howeverever, all missions except the training mission have at least one health potion, but they can't read it from the kernel files. If I would do as you said, I think the missions can load again, but my night vision render would constantly change when people pick up those health potion. So, here's what I'll do:
I wil no make a night vision in the form of mechanical eye, but in a new form... As long as the health potion remains.
