ST: What mods are you running? Any compatability issues?
skammunist on 20/8/2004 at 19:47
yea i gave up hope in modding morrowind into a good game when i heard about fable :D all i'll ever do is punt chickens around, and try to break my previous records. fable is cool because npcs all go though their own individual lives. if you were to follow someone around all day, he would wake up in the morning, get dressed, eat breakfast, kiss his wife goodbye, go to work, take a lunch break from work, continue working till 5 pm, leave work, stop at the market and pick up a few things, and go home (or to the pub). yes, in fable i will earn money and buy my house, instead of in morrowind where i must spill the blood of the innocent for that prime real estate.

Ya there are a few issues, though nothing I've worried about. I used the TESTool to both clean and then locate most the compatability issues. From there I took out most the mosts conflicting with each other but left a few conflicting ones in simply because the mods are kwel and the conflicts were nothing earth shattering. I also use the TESTools object merger and dialog merger so those problems are sorted out as well.
So far I have yet to see any problems. Only thing I can think of is that in the character race menu there are several of the same heads, but that is because i have several face mods all adding the same face sometimes. Nothing bad happens though, I just have to click pass it. A bit annoying but it does not break the game. Other then that I've not had any problems and I've been playing for a while now.
I could post the list of mods, I've combined them now to put my brain at easy, but it'd take a little to make the list. If you want me to though its no problem.

Shadowthief, I'd also be interested in a list of the mod's your running. I haven't visited Vvardenfell in a long time, so I think a smattering of mods would help get me reacquainted with the land.

mmm is fable X-box only? I heard that that lionhead, or whoever the developers are wanted it to also be pc... But if not, i'll have to buy Microsofts toy, which i might do anyway. (UCLT)

I would be interested in your mod list as well, Shadowthief. It's been ages since I visited Vvardenfell. I reloaded and installed the base game with all the patches for ES: M, T and B.
I was going through the Summit looking for mods but the way they have them listed is simply drudgery to wade through since there are close to 4k mods out there now... :bored:
Cheers!

hey shadowthief, good to see other taffers here.
I've begun my first mod, a landmass west of Ebonheart.
It's a smuggler hideout in an old volcano, hopefully it won't conflict with any other mods, but it probably will since it's not far away. At first I was thinking about the player getting there, now I have figured out the boat system so... oh well, starting to figure out dialog, journals, quests. I will have several quests and all custom dialog.
I'm going to try to make a thiefy quest, where you go to the island and steal something for a mainlander, ect...
I'm just amazed at how easy this editor is to learn/use compared to Dromed. I tried years ago but didn't load morrowind.esp so I couldn't get anything to work (lol), but now it's sweet. Working on getting custom objs in too...
You're right, the mods I have add alot, although I can only dl small ones right now.

The search function there can help quite a bit.

Shadowthief:
What mod are you running that adds adventurers/adventurer groups? I have a TON of mods running, but always thought that is what the game was really missing, kind of a MMORPG feel. If you could help me out I'd love it (expecially since this is my fourth time through the complete game)
BTW Visual Packs 2.11, 2.2, XT & XT expansion REALLY liven things up! Who'd have though you could see real-as-life lichen growing on the ground near Seyda Neen? Awesome!
P.S. Maybe a complete listing of your mods? O.K. I'll stop being a pest :cheeky:
