I'm currently trying to make my way through the game without killing anyone. Or even knock them unconsious. I'm doing fine so far, but there are a number of issues that nags me:
1. Gunther. Is it possible to free him without killing? A secret route into the prison cell or something similar?
2. The hostage situation at the 'Ton Hotel. I want to save the hostages, but gas grenades affect the hostages too, and there's no time to pepper spray the two terrorists.
3. The armory in the MJ12 facility. I wanted my thermoptic camos _badly_, so I knocked the guard out. Is there a way to lure him away so I can loot the armory in peace?
4. I think I know how to take care of anna, but if you have a tip, please post it.
5. If you have any other tips about stealth, please post them too. Please note that I want to get all the augs and aug upgrades. So solutions that pass those is not needed.

1- Easy. Baton/ stun prod everyone. Actually, by the small bunker by the docks, you can climb up to the second floor, go down, climb into the vent, open up the door, shock the guards, turn off the security and open up Gunther's door.
2-Gas grenades usually don't kill anyone from what I've seen. They wear off. Put a hazmat suit on, and then shock the terrorists.
3-Gotta take him out. Knocking him out is the most peaceable solution to it.
4-Kill phrase. You'll need it.
5-Get the silent walking and cloak mods ASAP. You'll need it if you want to stealth efficently on the later levels.

That said, how are you thinking of taking out the generator in the warehouse?

1. I'm not sure about getting inside the cell, but I know you can open it without the sitting guard or the camera spotting you. Crouch behind the guard, then quickly move to the right and wedge yourself under the desk. You'll be out of sight and right in front of the security terminal. After that I imagine you can throw something to distract the guard and run in to talk to Gunther.
2. I really don't know about this... As far as I know, to save the hostages, you need take out the terrorists.
3. I assume you mean the guard on the bridge? If you follow close behind him, I think you move quick enough to keep to his back when he turns. Then just rush into the armory when he turns back. Of course... then you have to deal with the bots inside, but that should be easy enough. (Are you going for no destruction too? Or are bots fair game?)

The bots are no problem at all. Slow and generally stupid. Easy to outmaneuver. But there is a guard inside the armory, sitting in a chair overlooking the whole place. It is possible to sneak past him to the upper level, but a lot of my equipment is on the shelves in the guard's field of view.

Just a note on the first part, if you're trying a no-KO/Kill game, don't bother freeing Gunther. Because he has no ambition to follow your buddhist ways and will slaughter everyone with his knife (provided you don't give him a weapon of yours). I just left him. I also found I made it through most of the game a lot faster becasue I skipped a bunch of parts like that, where you were presented with an optional side goal which would inevitably end with someone dying or getting KOed, so it went by in like, 10 hours for me.

You still have to kill Anna though, I believe, since you can't knock her out. Oh, and there's always Bob Page in certain of the endings. And if you want to save Jock...*endless blabbering of saving good guys/shocking bad guys with stun prod dilemmas*

Oh ooh, MJ12 facility, I must've read it wrong. I thought you meant the armory at the sub base.
Well, when you first enter the room, the guy gets up and walks outside for a bit. I never followed him to find out where, but you have a few seconds; you can try to grab whatever you can before he gets back. Otherwise, all I can think of is throw something to distract him, run, grab, hide. Wait 'til he sits down again, throw something else, run, grab, hide. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Didn't know about that, gotta try it!
