Well of course but the word official was just in the name and nowhere else and i never claimed it was the official channel in a video, description etc
I already talked with Adam about the channel/facebook page/twitter and he said he has some suggestions. I'm waiting for his reply. I don't think he knew about the channel being closed (that was done by game informer).

I would definitely like to see the channel and all its videos back. I regularly listened to the Thief music on there, especially some of the fan remixes and the Hammerite Imperium music, and I'm sad that it's gone. It also had some unique videos like footage of a Thief alpha version that weren't available anywhere else. Apparently Eidos never minded that the channel's called ThiefOfficial, but Game Informer didn't like that their trailer was uploaded there...

Thanks for the support. Makes me happy that someone enjoyed the channel :)
A thing you should understand is that I never uploaded the thief coverage trailer. The claim was on the "First Thief (4) pictures" and it's funny cause others have uploaded that trailer that you talked about and they're still on and other uploaded videos with the photos and again..they're on. And let's not talk about all the sites out there (big gaming information sites) that linked to the pictures from the Russian site....i guess i wasn't lucky.
Again..the problem wasn't the name as i was in talks with Adam to change it to avoid confusion. I would have been happy with that since in the end...it's just a name.
Cheers

The name is what drew the attention. I mentioned the word "official" because it has been censored for EM (whether or not EM ever even knew about it), in forum posts about my intentions for the future of a personal project, when it didn't even have the same meaning or context, and wasn't applied to anything EM had copyright on. If the word is used for something unrelated to copyrighted property, and the meaning has nothing to do with the property itself, but my intentions for it, as used in a forum post, and gets censored, then I absolutely expect censorship when the meaning is less ambiguous where copyrighted images happen to be shown. It sounds weird 'cause it is.

InfinituS: I messaged you about your channel's name last year. I knew it was bound to get you in trouble sooner or later.
You shouldn't give up on this so quickly, though. You can still have your channel back.
Stop being passive. Tweet Eidos. Email them. Email gaming news sites. Explain to them how you've helped keep the Thief fandom alive on Youtube for years. Threaten to turn this into a PR fiasco for Square Enix.

I say it again :) It's not EM's fault and the name wasn't the problem. Game Informer posted a claim on the "Thief (4) pictures". That's it. Maybe it was because they got confused by the name or something and they posted a claim. Got no idea. Adam didn't knew about it being shut down so i don't think he was contacted by Game Informer about it (i've been in contacted with Adam for some weeks now so i'm not giving up on Thief. And i will never do that.)
I plan to come back, all the videos are on my external hard drive and i really want taffers to see them. Why keep them to myself? Yes...many can be found if you look hard enough but i don't think anyone saved my special videos :cheeky:
And if someone did...he's free to post them. I don't mind.
Right now this situation gave me an opportunity to start working on my tribute video that i think will no longer be what i intended but in fact sort of movie-like small scenes. As to what Thief would look like as a movie. Some scenes to capture the atmosphere. I won't spoil it much. I'll do my best.
Thanks for the support.

There's not much new in this one, but it is a different take for an early T2 preview. Some of the gameplay footage looks like it's being done through DromEd with gravity turned off, and some of it's surprisingly weak for a gaming magazine preview. Steve Pearsall speaks for the game.
I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread, yet, though it might be listed at thief-thecircle.

I just found this thread, and realized that all of the videos from the three actual games the OP linked are from my YouTube channel :)
I'm honored that you linked to them there, and doubtless helped me get a lot of views as a result. I think back in 2008 when you made this thread, I was the only person with all of them uploaded in one place.
