How did that happen? Same ol' animation with custom text on it. Or I might have just missed it?

Just the briefing quote from b11.avi, for Life of the Party, clipped from the rest.

ROTFL. :laff:
Apropos: if someone knows where to find where to find that animation without the text, woule make me a great favour if he would make me know.

It may have to be edited together from text-free frames in between. The fading in and out kind of hinders that. Pieces of frames in the vertical space between lines of text could be composited. Whew!

Is this possible?? O_O
jtr7 on 31/8/2009 at 01:45
Mostly...yes. Someone would have to try it to see if there are text-free frames all the way through from all the movies. Until someone tries, we won't know 100%. There are only four movies with that scene: b02, b04, b08, b11-- so it's not a lot to work with.
EDIT: Okay, I looked at the first frames of each. Starting at about the thirtieth frame, the first text of each of the four briefings begins. It varies after that, but the first lines of text make it impossible to splice text-free frames together. The text would have to be painted out per frame, OY!

Hey -
Out of interest, does anyone know how to get the original AVI files from the games to play? I can't play them in Media Player, after installing the Indeo codecs as well.
I do apparently have a more up to date version installed that isn't being overwitten though, do you think that's preventing them from playing?

The best media player I've ever come across is VLC Media Player. Try loading one up with that and see if you get any luck.

Or convert them in DivX with VitualDub :thumb:
