Jeni is a natural blonde. :cheeky: Katie has brown hair and a green dress. Anyway you are in the right location. I see you have the solution already.

I updated my FM by making it ghostable in the police station. The FM can be downloaded from (
http://www.geocities.com/john9818a/ALoveStory1_1.zip) here.
I made the watcher in the police station pan wider and slightly slower. This was suggested by Dafydd.
I also added one more water crystal.

I'm beta-testing a new mission right now, but when I get a break, I'll go take a look; I'm sure that's all that was needed.
As far as the loot goes, the fact that *I* couldn't find enough without a loot list is meaningless... I'm dreadful at finding loot. So long as it can be finished with enough hunting and searching, it's ghostable... even if it isn't ghostable by every player :laff: !

Edit: Yep, the new version works fine; I can now dart into the foyer without drawing a yellow alert from the watcher. Good deal!

Your welcome comfortably numb. hehe We don't get enough snow here (or any for that matter) so I had fun making this FM.

I did a fast skim over this thread but didn't find what I was looking for. This FM I played once before, though slightly different. What was the name of the original, similar mission? I think it had a walkthrough. If I recall right, there was a key or something found on a dining room table in a spacious room on the second floor, under one of the paper trays?? I couldn't locate it this time around.

I was wondering the same thing. What was the original mission these backgrounds were taken from?

The first mission was "Jeniver de ja Vu". This mission is set in the same place and takes place after the other one, so you'll see slashed banners, etc. that Garrett might have done in the first one. The walkthrough for the first one won't help, though, as the objectives, etc. for this one are all different.

The key you are looking for is on the belt of the Noble woman standing upstairs near a painting. Actually I don't think she has a belt, but the key is there.
Basically the path taken in this mission is pretty much in reverse of the first FM. The loot locations with a few exceptions are different. Oh, also it is snowing, which is something that has only happened here twice in the past 30 years.

I've finished this mission now, but thanks for the help. I also had the problem with the frobbable book triggering the banner. But the reason I didn't notice that it had moved was because the light was turned off in the room (by myself of course). The cubby holes blended in too well with the masonry.
I thought I'd play the original again, and though this question belongs in that thread, I'm going to ask it here anyway.....I was following the walkthrough to Jenivere De Ja Vu and came to the point where I enter Bafford's offices. But I can't get in without Bafford's Key. Where was I supposed to pick this up???
