Those 4.64 Mbs kept me busy for six hours. Nice. Although I spent a good deal of time in the waterway
searching for the ring due to a letter I read.:p
Also I found what seems like a bug.
I attempted to open Moseley's banner about 4 times in a row, each with one frob of the switch, running to check the banner each time. It remained closed each time. I luckily managed to blind frob the items behind it.
Ok I fixed the loot list. I borrowed it from another FM.
About the bug, well it opened for me. When you frob the switch for the banner the banner slides over. I'm not sure what went wrong.

I tried to show some consistency from my first FM Jenivere De Ja Vu and put things in the condition that they would be after playing Jenivere... The torn banner you saw was cut in the Jenivere FM. There were other things to reflect Garrett being there prior to this FM.

When I made the objectives I put this in it as the first entry of #5:
The last time you were in Riverbed you found a ring in the river. This ring belongs to Jeni. Lt. Mosley took the ring from you when you were arrested and wants to keep the ring for herself. Get it back.
I forgot that it would not appear because the objectives is hidden and if you have ever made a fM, there are two lines for each objective.
Sorry about that. :erg:
You need to frob the book in what I think is Mosley's office (by the front of the police station) this moves a banner in a corridor not far from there. You'll know what to do then.
I don't understand what you mean. At the moment, I'm standing
outside the police station. Is there a way to get to Mosely's office without first entering the police station through the door that is guarded by the two watchers?
Is Mosely's office in the earlier part of the mission, en route from the jail cell to the kitchen?
Edit: All right, I found the offices. But I wasn't able to get in there without drawing a yellow alert from the watcher, which is a ghost bust. (Peter Smith just mentioned that he wasn't either, which makes me feel a little less bad :tsktsk: .)
I also couldn't get the
banner to open, though I did get the "secret found" chime from the
book. I'm trying to frob the stuff from behind it, so far without success.

It's my fault for not reading the "full" objective at the beginning of the mission.:nono:

You are standing in front of the police station, but you start the mission inside the police station. If you don't want a ghost bust then go back in the way you came out.
It's strange that the banner didn't move for you.
There are two cubby holes behind it. When you frob the book the banner should move toward the stairs leading to the guard room.
The banner did open; I was looking for it opening like a door, and I didn't notice it had slid to the right.
But I think there is an automatic ghost bust in the mission: when you enter the foyer (I mean enter from the correct side, from the jail side down the steps where the three guards patrol), whence opens the office doors to Mosely and Truart on one side and the locker rooms on the right, there seems to be no way to get into the foyer and off to the side (where the watcher can't see you) without drawing a yellow alert from the watcher en route. I couldn't do it; Peter Smith couldn't do it.
If you want to tweak this mission to make it possible to ghost, all it would take would be to make the face turn a little farther left and right, which would actually make it possible to slip past when it was looking away.
As it is, I believe there is no way to ghost the mission. Not that every mission should be ghostable, but since such a tiny tweak would solve the problem...!
(The thing that would still make it especially hard to ghost is the difficulty in finding loot -- since using a loot list is also a ghost bust.)

Even with the loot list, I can't find some of the loot!
I'm not sure if I'm just missing the diamond on the bridge, or if I already got it and I've just forgotten. Can you tell me more precisely where it is?
Also, which room is the "water pump building?" There are supposed to be scattered coins, but again, I don't recall if I got them already or if they're still there and I'm either missing them or in the wrong building. Can you be more specific?
Thanks,
Dafydd

Thank you John9819a for the Loot list :) Yes, I finally got out of the jail cell and made my way around most of the map. However, like many, I have also had somewhat of a difficult time finding enough loot to satisfy the requirement. I have found many of the pieces but I still need about 300 +/- to finish the game.
I understand the need to make a game challenging for all these Taffers, but my only real problem was understanding what needed to be done in those first few moments of the game and the way the objective was written (by the way, I believe she does get killed/die later in the front part of the jail anyway? I do/did see the body of a female there when I eventually got there later on.). I've played long enough and many games that I usually play "hard" mode but with yours I find that "easy" is usually a better choice for me ;)
So now with the help of a loot list, I can find the quantity I need but usually I don't need one of those either. 98% of the time I can find my requirement plus, but not good enough or patient enough to search for every penny. Not that important to me but as long as I can find most of it I'm content with that. :) I shall definately look forward to your next mission whenever that might be :) Ta and Good Hunting!
