They hang up as soon as they hear my voice. :(

If y'all are annoyed at anticipating something unknown, here's something concrete to look forward to: on my birthday (July 16), I'll release all the CoSaS stuff I have for public use. That's 12 GB of assets and unfinished missions.
Now that's a great offer!
I'm not really annoyed but I think announcing the 'surprise' kind of defeats the purpose. Just too much time building it up and then in the thread we see it having to be downplayed as nothing big. lol Right?
Just would have been nice to see it appear in late May with no idea it was even coming and be truly surprised.

Thanks! :o
Just be forgiving of the chaotic state the archives are in. I thought about reorganizing the directory, then decided that would be a godawful ordeal.

What I wish it was -- my number one feature wish for T2 -- is multiplayer for the New Dark engine, or the old multiplayer that's made compatible with it.
What I think it is, going by the clues we have now, is art or assets or something from Thief 2 Gold swiped off the hard drives before everything was wiped during the great LGS cataclysm otherwise known as "everybody's fired; go home".
I guess we'll find out soon enough.

You mean further development to the multiplayer that was added in New Dark v1.27 ?

Oh, yeah! There was a lot of that being passed around back in the day. At one point I had an alpha of one of the new T2G missions, which took place in a mansion. I'm pretty sure I deleted it though, out of respect for LGS.
We're better off without them. The Gold missions made TDP a worse game, and the T2G missions would have done the same to TMA.
My favorite piece of LGS loot was a pre-alpha build of a new engine called "The Siege Engine," but I think that was just one employee's pet project, without managerial approval.

No, I think Siege was a real and official thing, created and used by LGS. I believe Deep Cover converted to it after initially being in Dark.
Edit: Here's a link to a thread here where an ex LGS guy actually released the Siege Engine (although the download link is broken now): (

There's no real way to say that conclusively without finished missions in our hands. It's a pretty big jump to say that because they didn't work for TDP they automatically wouldn't work for TMA. I think its more likely they would have worked for TMA because of the way T2 was rushed out the door and shortcuts were taken (see Casing The Joint/Masks).
For the record, I like Thieves Guild and Mage Towers. Song of the Caverns not as much, but I think I'm in the minority there.

I was trying to justify the fact that I deleted the files. :p

I somehow didn't catch that there's a mutiplayer beta since New Dark v.1.27 so: no.
But now that I know, I still don't know enough about what state it's in, so we can change that to: pending.
The pre-New Dark multiplayer, which I used to play back in the day, was buggy but fine enough. So if it's at least that good, then that's enough to at least play it and have fun with it.
