I've always been a fan of Ultima Underworld: Stygian Abyss, and it's sequal, however due to an error in the saving process (I saved over my almost complete game with a early save) I stopped playing, and in the past few years I've been wanting to get into it, but I cannot seem to install it and get it running- that was before my disc got scratched up.
I was hoping that someone here could help me either find a workable version, or a program to allow it to run in the first place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

These days, both the underworlds run quite nicely in dosbox as long as you have a half-decent computer and are using the latest version of dosbox.

Yes, the recommended ways of running the Underworlds are with either a very old computer, or with a fairly modern machine running the fabulous and above-mentioned (

One warning about transferring it over from the CD: since you just drag it off the CD into the hard drive, all the files are in read-only mode, so you need to switch modes.
What's really weird is the game works perfectly, it just doesn't save your game, even though it tells you it has.
