I don't know about the rest of you, but to me, the TTLG forums remind me of the internet circa 1994.

I'm not suggesting a complete overhaul, just an update to the CSS file, and maybe replace some of the images. (Myself, I set the images in the CSS file (ala (http://www.csszengarden.com/) Zen Garden) which makes it even easier.)

Perhaps there could be a competition, where we can submit various entries and then vote upon the winner.

I think the austere style of TTLG is very tasteful and pleasant, especially compared to most of the other forums I visit.
I see nothing that needs changing, but then I've barely been here a year so it's not really for me to say.

vBulletin is an absolute pile of crap when it comes to trying to create something standards-compliant or efficient. There's nothing David can do without extensive rewriting of the heart of vBulletin.
