Is it me or is there something particularly addicting about eating foods that come in a shell-form and must be unwrapped/unsheathed before they can be eaten?
Sunflower seeds: HORRIBLY addicting to me when eaten with the shells and barbecue flavoring. But stand alone not nearly as delicious.
Peanuts/Almonds/Walnuts
Also Edamame soybeans are ravaging dear me.
Can anyone else relate?

My family has been growing some of those the last few years, I love them boiled. I had some nasty shit from the healthfood store that my mom brought home, dried ones or somthing, made me want to fucking barf.
Pistachios are absolutly the devils work. The pre-shelled ones dont taste half as good, so yeah, the work is half of the fun.

I dunno, I've never really liked sunflower seeds because they're a bit messy.
I tend to like plain old cashews as far as nuts go...

PISTACHIOS! Oh my god... I will keep eating those things until they're all gone (or somebody takes them away from me), even when my lips are swollen, cracked and bleeding and my face is puffed up beyond recognition from the salt. :wot:
Oh, I fixed your horribly broken sidescrolling url to image file for you, username-with-too-many-digits-to-be-a-phone-number-but-not-enough-to-be-a-SSN. :)
P.S. I love nuts! (you are what you eat, eh?)
P.P.S. I was horrified to discover a terrible (and apparently, common) nickname for brazil nuts. Growing up in California, I had never heard it before, but my father (from Oregon) and my husband (from Illinois) were both very familiar with it. :weird:

I too am a slave to the almigty pistachio. It doesn't matter how many there are, I will eat the whole damn lot and then want more. It's probably a good thing that they're so damn expensive here as it prevents me from overdosing on salt ;)

Ok, what is it? :D

Don't make me say it!

...it's the toes...isn't it.
I was eating some mixed nuts just yesterday and that came up again.
Cashews are fantastic, btw. They can get a little too salty sometimes, but oh the goodness.
All I can say is thank goodness pretzels don't come in a shell. My fingers would be blistered from massive salty shellingness. :erm:

That shit is a lot of trouble. Crab legs and lobster and shrimp. Man, shit.
I went to a casino buffet once that had a chocolate fountain and peel em and eat em shrimp ALREADY PEELED. I knew I had ascended to something greater.

If I'm anywhere near seafood I suddenly get the stomach capacity of a giant whale.
