Do any of the reviews have a video review of the PC controls? as all the ones I've seen thus far are for the consoles.
What do you want to know exactly?

OK, I'll bite. How is this relevant?

I guess he was trying to make a point that DOOM didn't have jumping and worked just fine without it maybe? Hard to tell considering all he did was put a link without any further information.

Read the post immediately preceding mine for your answer.

I think if you you re-read Biker's comment and then also re-read the thread you linked to, you'll realize the two situations aren't even remotely connected. If you need me to explain further, just let me know.

Explain your fist to your face. The point was that biker's complaint about FPS games today not having jumping is meaningless in the face of Doom not having jumping either.

It's odd for T4, aside from other FPSs, because it's mimicing Mirror's Edge gameplay, and how do you do that without a consistent jump? You have guards running after you.

I never said it had to make sense. Just that this isn't exactly a new thing to FPS games.

No dethtoll, that's a silly line of thought.
That's like someone asking why won't their modern car accelerate faster than 0-60 in 20s and you linking to some archived story about the model T Ford.
That was the past and it especially makes no sense in a new game that has an element of climbing and exploring, especially if it's a new Thief (or Nissan GTR).
