It's interesting that right mouse button is dedicated to "cancel bow." I'm glad they made it possible, just surprised it gets its own button like that.

It's interesting to note how vast the points of view on this new Thief are from a journalistic standpoint. (Not talking about the views of members on TTLG.) Mixed feelings, positive feelings, negative feelings. I've heard such negative stuff though that I find it hard to be excited at all about this game. I'm also still not sure whether I should hate it or not.
As I know I've said before, and will reiterate, I will probably end up buying it down the road, but I still don't expect it to be a phenomenal "Thief" game. However, your last quote Brethren is a breath of fresh air.

It's reductive to summarise one person's experience as positive or negative. I know I, overall, experience a wide spectrum of reactions to individual elements of the game. It's really hard to turn that into a whole, especially without having finished the game.

I expect opinions to differ though. There are people who will tell you that Never Let Me Go is just a boring crap film.
The trick is in identifying those with different (awful) taste. You have to know the reviewer. For me the most important people will be RPS and Zero Punctuation. Not that I'll believe their verdicts fully, but I'll be interested in what they think.

Were you able to tinker with the gamma to try to get closer to the feel of the original games even if that might have meant missing out on some of the pretty graphics? All the footage I've seen so far is too bright & foggy.
