More depressing than Grave of The Fireflies?
Grave of the fireflies made me cry like a little girl, but Threads took away my ability to move afterwards.

Threads.
So dark and gritty. That's what film making should be about. When addressing these issues anyway. Are we ready for a modern update, sans cold warizms, yet?

That was an interesting and even fun movie. Right up until the end where Don Johnson and his dog
ate the lead female - -
literally.
Now I don't like it anymore.

A post-apocalyptic tale based on a novella by Harlan Ellison. A boy communicates telepathically with his dog as they scavenge for food and sex, and they stumble into an underground society where the old society is preserved. The daughter of one of the leaders of the community seduces and lures him below, where the citizens have become unable to reproduce because of being underground so long. They use him for impregnation purposes, and then plan to be rid of him.
Trippy.

Nonsense! That was a fabulous ending. :D
Anyway, I'm quite certain it was just the dog that did the
eating.

... I want to watch these movies. I'm in the mood for mind-gnawing, horrifying depression.

Mad Max, apparently. It just looks like the typical Australian countryside to me.
Postman, Water World. Kevin Cosner really knows how to put the 'Apocalyptic' in 'Post-Apocalyptic movies'
