I remember browsing these forums a few years ago and several times coming across threads mentioning a certain post-apocalyptic film, which I believe was British, that was apparently very, very good, according to the posters at the time.
I don't remember the title, but I do remember being very interested in it. From what I can recall, the movie was supposed to be quite graphic, to the point that it either wasn't released or was banned in the United States. I've been looking all over the internet for it, but without the title my search has reached a standstill.
I would appreciate it if any of the longer-term forum members here could help me out in remembering the title of this movie. I know some of those discussing it "back then" are still around today.
All I know is that it was post-apocalyptic sci-fi, very graphic and/or disturbing, and probably created in the UK.
Barring that, does anyone have any good reccomendations for a film of the aforementioned genre?

There's a slight chance you're thinking of 28 Days Later - it could be mistaken in conversation for a post-apocalyptic, and it's british, but it's unlikely. Just throwing it out there.

No, it was older than that. Definitely not 28 Days Later. I think I heard about this movie before 28 DL even came out.

Don't forget the charming (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090315/) "When The Wind Blows", in which a cute old couple slowly die from radiation poisoning while making small talk! It's animated too, making it fun for all the family.
OH GOD BLEAKEST THING EVER

If a post apocalyptic black comedy is your thing, try (
http://imdb.com/title/tt0101700/)
Delicatessen. Strange but very very good.

Drink a couple cups of coffee, and watch (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118736/) Six String Samurai. It's a pretty weird and kooky movie. If anything, you'll get a few laughs out of it.
