Hey guys. I've gotten pretty good at this game, actually. Anyways, I'm about to start the game for the 3rd time, and this time I installed mods, I've just introduced myself to the concept.
With like, 50 mods.
I put them all in the folders, I used the mod manager...
But when I open the game, before anything even begins I'm back at the desktop; it threw me right back out.
I've reduced the conflicts; but some of these I just cannot understand. The things it's saying the mod in question is conflicting with do not appear to be other mods. The mods themselves couldn't have been impossible to use, given the praise they got, could they? Here, can you make sense of these example prompts? They're all in red.
EDID 'HorsePCShadowmereScript' of record type SCPT conflicts with 1 other plugin.
MD_Saddle_Bags.esp
EDID 'MTRain02' of record type WTHR conflicts with 1 other plugin.
Natural_Weather_HDR_by_Max_Tael.esp
EDID 'Gold001' of record type MISC conflicts with 1 other plugin.
VA_BetterGold.esp
EDID 'fDeathForceForceMin' of record type GMST conflicts with 2 other plugins.
RealisticForceHigh.esp (Record type: GMST) (Unparented) (Active)
RealisticForceLow.esp
I've removed most of them, but I've not fixed things yet to the point where I'm not crashing. I just wanna see what as to go and what doesn't. Thing is, what exactly is the modified Weather system conflicting with? Is that my coding ignorance, or is it conflicting with the original game's files?

Correction: I've now deactivated all mods, and the crash is still occuring.

not sure if this is your problem, but I had a mod that over wrote another mods files... and bugs persisted even after unchecking them... perhaps one of yoru mods over wrote an original game file?... just a thought, good luck

One or more of the mods that you installed probably substitutes a problematic custom model/texture/whatever for one that's in the game. Check the subfolders inside the Data folder to see if you can find and remove whatever your mod manager is complaining about. Unless your mod manager does something wierd, the original game files should be untouched.
If you still can't get it working correctly, consider backing up your saved games, completely uninstalling Oblivion and then reinstalling it.
For future reference, install mods one at a time, then test them out for a while before installing the next one. That way it's easier to figure out how to fix problems when they come up.
