So here I was, only my third day on the job for Cauis, got the puzzle box, killed some rats yada, yada and they send me off on another little serivce and I'm going past the Silt Rider Service and I think to myself... screw this imperialist system!
What fun is it to just be some cog in the wheel. So I got on a Slit ride and never looked back. Off to see the world. Now this is adventure. Just hit the save button and see whats around the next corner.
I'm sure the story will find me again when it's ready
Gotta find me a new hiddy hole though. I've been using that "Hlaalo manor" in Balmora, but I hate having that dead guy laying on the floor and that little ninny upstairs. Besides, I've started a nice "blue lantern" collection and the light in that house doesn't show it off well.

Oh, most definately. Like, 80% of the fun of Morrowind is just setting off to God-knows-where and exploring the world. One of the best things about this game is its open-endness. Have fun, Ruba.

The only thing that spoils it for me is how easy it is to mess up future quests by going exploring...
I mean is there any ruin, mine, shrine which isn't linked in some way to a quest?

If you did the quest for the Fighters guild where you have to kill Dura gra-Bul just use her house, it's a cool one. It's the one that consists of just stairs winding to the top, which then has a door to a terrace-type place where you can see a lot of Balmora, but it also has a little landing area to the stairs that has a bed, table, rack, etc. After you nail her you can dispose of the corpse, unlike Ralen Hlaalu. This is just one of my many abodes, but it works nicely.
