I'm getting back into playing MW again seriously (read:until 4 am) after a long break to play Prince of Persia and various Tomb Raiders. A few things have come up, wondered if anyone here could shed any light.
-A woman (Nord,I think) in Fort Pelagiad named Hrordis who won't speak to me, but responds with a "Go away, etc" followed by the red Goodbye, even though her disposition is fairly high. Is she part of a quest?
-Members of the Imperial Legion keep telling me I'm "out of uniform" even thought I'm wearing an Imperial chain cuirass. This has always worked in the past; do the in-uniform requirements increase as you go up the ranks? I've been given plenty of armor by the Legion as I've completed quests, but i dumped it straight away as I've got better stuff already.
-I want to complete the quest where you get rid of some rats for a Telvanni wizard in Vivec, but even though I've searched the underworks thoroughly, I can't finish the quest. I think there may be some missing rats :erg: Is there a quick way to sort this out?
Thanks in anticipation of any help!

1. She is probably part of a quest. Perhaps an Imperial Legion one.
2. Hmm, it should work. Here's a list of the accepted cuirasses:
- Imperial Steel Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 29, Base AR 16
- Imperial Chain Cuirass, Medium Armour, Weight 21, Base AR 12
- Lord's Mail, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 100
- Duke's Guard Silver Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 20
- Imperial Templar Knight Cuirass, Heavy Armour, Weight 30, Base AR 18
You can also use Imperial shields instead.
3. Check around some more for the rats? :) I'm sure there's a journal code you can enter, but I don't know what it is.

Bloody rats. Bloody Imperial legion bureaucrats. Anyway, thanks for your help Striker. Since you know so much, perhaps you wouldn't mind answering just one more leetle query? :)
I've acquired Corky the Guar through that House Hlaalu quest. Problem is, I can't get rid of him. He's cute but too slow and clumsy to have with me all the time. I don't want to kill him, either. I hear you're supposed to lead him to Drulene Falen's herd up in the northwest, which I have done, but there's no way to get him to stay there. If I talk to Drulene on the subject "Corky" she sinply replies "He's doing fine" as though she'd already bought off me, but he's still following me.
A search of both this forum and the official one yielded nothing helpful, other than to find out that others have experienced the same problem. No solutions in sight though......

You won't like my solution. :ebil:
Ahem.
As for a humane way of getting rid of the blighter, go to the Farm, enter the console, click on Corky and enter the following:
AIWander, 512, 5, 0, 0,20,0,0,10,30,0,0
That should get him to just walk around a bit in the area, and stop him from following you. :)

My solution to getting rid of corky was to go to the middle of Caldera then running really fast into the mages guild before he can follow. If you go into a different cell while he is a decent distance away, he won't go into the next cell and next time you see him, he won't start following you unless you go into talking distance of him.
2. People 2 ranks under you won't ask you for uniform. It should work unless you have a chain mail cuirass which doesn't count for it which is unique. I doubt it but perhaps if you had enchanted it, it might stop working. However, if you keep some uniform by the people who you work for then you can just slip it on when needed. Most legion places sell the stuff for dirt cheap anyhow so that is my quick solution.
3. This is a quest you get from Yingling (or whatever) right? The rats are in his basement not the underworks. There are some stairs down from his appartment from the plaza.

In other words, you abandoned him. For shame :tsktsk: :cheeky:
Thanks for the help, it seems no-one has managed to find a way to officially sell him to Drulene's herd. A bug, maybe.....anyway, I tried Striker's suggestion and the Corkster is now grazing happily with his fellow guars :)

That's normally what I do as well, however it doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I think I killed a guard last time and took their uniform, I'll have to try buying a new one I think.

I'm a bit fuzy on this 'cause I started this quest about a year ago! But IIRC, the first lot of rats are in his basement, and he then tells you that you have to eliminate the source of the infestation, which is in the underworks. I'm sure a rat or two has fallen into the void down there. If I still can't find them I'll check the Editor for the journal entry :)

Hey, I still checked up on him when passing through Caldera, I left him outside the town hall and he had lots of nice little people passing him to check up on him. I didn't abandon him, he became the town pet.
I don't think I ever did this quest. But isn't there a daedric shrine down there? Perhaps he means cleaning them people out because they might be causing them...I'd be able to tell you for sure but my editor was in a deletion accident (I still have MW on xbox).

She has in her possession one of the 27 Sanguine items (it's a belt, possibly Belt of Fleetness, IIRC) which can retrieve for Eno Hlaalu if you join the Morag Tong.
As for the rats, you either missed one, or it's a bug. There's about 9-10 of them down there. I guess you could use a Detect Creature spell/potion.
Back to the subject of Sanguine items, I inadvertently sold a couple of rings to a trader, but I forget who. Any way I can find out who it was?

Hmm, not that I know of. And you might find that the trader has actually equipped the Sanguine items, which means they won't have them for sale. :erg:
It would probably be easier to use the console to re-obtain the missing items... :)

Pisces, I'll let you off then, as long as Corky is safe and happy.
Strontium Dog-thanks, I finally found the last rat underwater, walking along behind a half-sunken boat and a load of planks. As for Hrordis, she gets on my nerves, so seeing as I'm not a Morag Tong member I'll lure her away somewhere and stick a dagger between her ribs
