So I'm now settling into LA, and I finally got the trailer up for my long belated short film debut, A Death in Progress.

It's an 8 minute comedy that follows the Grim Reaper as he tries to write out the last moments of a man's life, but can't make up his mind on how he wants the man to die. He keeps rewriting the man's death over and over, and each time the man comes back, and is forced to die an even more ridiculous way.
We're aiming at the Cannes film festival in France as our world premiere, so keep your fingers crossed that we get in!
UPDATE: See the last post, but the gist is, we got in the Cannes Short Film Corner!
UPDATE 2: We won a Regional Academy Award! Screening tomorrow night in Chicago, check the last post for more details!

Apart from the obvious low-budgetness of it all, that's pretty cool.

I'm intrigued.

I look forward to checking out the work of that guy online who has nothing but negative things to say about movies I like!

Hilarious. Looks solid.
Congratulations on putting it together. I know how hard that is.
Short films are a bitch to sell, of course, but that looks like a great calling card for bigger things.
Best of luck with the festivals, goldy!
NOTE TO DVD PRODUCERS: How about a selection of short films in the special features section of your products? (Perhaps because we might get a sense of how much better the Hollywood tripe we rented could be?)

But if they knock you back you'll settle for Sundance. But only if they send a car!
Looks cute. I like the concept and death's room looks pretty cool too.

Speaking of movies you like, why no comments in the 2007 thread? Other than Black Sheep. ¬¬
No QT at work, I'll see this when I get back. Good luck nevertheless.

Looks awesome! Can't wait to see it. Loved the little whine at the end.
