1: Is there any way of modifying a race's attributes/skills/abilities while still getting quest junk and greetings and dialog as if you were a member of that race?
2: Is there any way, through a birthsign, of permanantly decreasing stats? Damage stat in an ability decreases it until it's zero, drain stat makes it appear red, and can be restored by eating ingredients (not sure about potions [too lazy to test now that I've ruined my mod and needa rewrite it], but a shrine thing won't restore them then, at least).
I guess I could make a spell/power that damages stats, but cycling through spells could be disasterous, then. Or put a potion at the start that decreases the desired stats. But then it would be up to the player to not unbalance the game, unless I do scripting junk (which I don't know how to).

It's easy to mod a race's stats, and It shouldn't affect dialogue at all, since you will still be the same race which is what the editor looks for. As for a Birthsign lower an ability/attribute, can't say I know how to do this, looks like drained is your best best, even though the ability will be in red, I don't see anyway around this.

Yeah... it _shouldn't_, but it seems to. At least with me; like, with a modified Argonian, I get generic greeting speech, nothing with "Argonian" or "marshbrother/sister" in it, if I'm wearing nice clothes I get "I haven't seen a Argonian with such a grand outfit in some time" or something occasionally, and I'm fairly sure it used to be "an Argonian." Other Argonians describe their race as if to a warmblood... stuff like that.
I dunno, maybe I'm crazy.

Well, I redid most of the mod, loaded it, and _now_ it recognizes pc race, of _course_. {smacks computer}
