I denouce iPods, they're really not worth it. I can get the exact same thing from Sony, Creative and iRiver for a cheaper price and most of them have batteries which can be replaced unlike iPods.
Yes, but if I bought one of those I couldn't be a huge fag and hang around the Apple Store browsing accessories.
Plus, iTunes Store. Oh, and nice interface that even my dad can use.

The 80 gig classic or the iTouch could be worth it, I wouldn't bother with any of the others. There are too many quality mp3 players now that have more features than the lower-level iPods and cost next to nothing.

Re: the iPod Touch, I have to say I like the little motorcycle game where you tilt the iPod to steer ... intuitive UI and it works.
On the other hand, it's annoying to pay for apps for things you'd just assume are open source if it were a PC, like having to pay for an ebook written 400 years ago, or simple tools any CS kid with a long weekend would program and release. The lack of any open source avenue at all is sort of annoying. Even just the ability to freely move files around is missing.

Got me one of them there fancy Sansa Clips...
I just wasn't going to spend that much for a stupid mp3 player when I'm just going to beat the hell out of it, and get it full of potting soil...couldn't see the point....

To be fair, free eReader software and a lot of free ebook sites solve that problem.
