Rest in Peace, James McCaffrey. I'll forever know you as Max Payne, part of one of my defining gaming memories at an age when there were so many competing for space in all those fizzing neurons in my cranium. The medium is poorer without your iconic voice, and you will be missed.

He's great in Alan Wake 2 as well. 65 is too damn young. He had a lot of great performances still in him.
He also showed up in one of my favourite films, American Splendor, as distractingly handsome comic book artist Fred.

Look at that mug! How didn't this guy have more big roles?

Well crap. I too enjoyed Max Payne, particularly the first one. I felt at one with his smartass wisecracking voice. A person should at least get eighty years but beyond sixty it's just a roll of the dice. You wonder is it going to be the lungs, heart, liver, or head. Be nice if it's something painless but most things ain't. Ah well, all you can do is look your loved ones in the eye one last time and tell them, "cancel my subscription to Living Better magazine".

R.I.P. Max Payne! I only ever played the first game in the series but it was a lot of fun.
