There's nothing to stay on top of. SubJeff has had a hard-on for calling me an asshole for years. He just can't wait to take every opportunity to let us know what he thinks. But the problem is, he's a coward, so he waits until someone else says it first, and then he piles on, and proclaims afterwards: "I'm just telling it like it is." He's been playing this game for years, so why should he stop now?
It's his persistence in cowardly piling on that seems to be so perfectly encapsulated by that great poet (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdnXYWSa56w) Ernie Anastos.
What he misses is that the "super caustic vitriol" is really just a small fraction of what I provide - it may be higher in any given stretch, but overall it really is a low percentage of my posts. It's only ever a means for me, not an end. It's just that a few people blow it out of all sorts of proportion and it seems like so much more than it is. It's high visibility, and made that much worse by the twatwaffles that come out of the woodwork to bitch and moan about it. It's easy to say "he's an asshole" but really, at the end of the day, I'm no more of an asshole than most of the posters around here - the passive aggressive snark, straight up put-downs - are all par for the course. It's the internet, a good majority of people posting are straight up assholes - kolya near the top of the list. I'm simply more noticeable, wordier and unapologetic. And yet, these same jackasses seem to think they can throw stones from their glass houses, and pretend that somehow their version of being an asshole is different and defenseable. The only thing different is that I don't try to hide it when I do - hell, i make it so cartoonishly over the top that it should come off like a WWF Wrestler and STILL there are pathetic whiny bitches that get their panties in a bunch. I have a Nietzschean/alpha attitude towards my actions here, and this drives certain impotent, whiny, beta types up the wall until eventually they lash out. Fuck'em.
And for the record, Renz totally gets it. I'd be thrilled if people actually raised their game and put some thought into their posts, failing that, I'm happy to see people who don't know what they're talking about sufficiently cowed that they show the humility befitting their lack of knowledge on any given subject. It's worked in the past, and it's working now. And so it goes...

I think fast, I write fast, and I overanalyze. It's what makes me good at what I do, and I unfortunately can't just shut it off, even when I should just do the Dirt Off Your Shoulders thing.

Why exactly do you keep trolling? Is it an ironic part of your brilliant plot to prove that you're not an asshole yourself?

You could time your watch to this shit.

Kudos for the explanation - I really appreciate it when people engage in some thoroughly readable social analysis. I wish I could make that *not* sound like sucking up, but oh well!
