Hell YES. Chimay is hands down the best beer I've ever drunk.

Here in Italy we have some german supermarket chains (LIDL) that sells a very good beer, a pils. Now I don't remember the name. It's at very low price (0,65 euro per 0,65 lt). The producers don't exceeds with hop, so the beer don't tastes bitter.
The first months I played Thief - Deadly Shadows, in early 2006, I used to drink as well two liters of this beer sometime. The immersion in the game was more powerful hahaha. Chees chips and beer :)

That brings back glorious memories of being able to buy a decent German beer for next to nothing on a summer's afternoon in Berlin... and makes me all the more upset about these proposed minimum pricing laws here in Britain.

awwwuuggghhhh. Sorry, Mass. That doesn't sound at ALL tasty.
I never drink beer by itself. For me, the taste of beer by itself isn't good enough to justify cracking one open and drinking it when I'm thirsty. But for enhancing other foods, it can't be beat. Some things wouldn't be nearly as good without a beer next to it.
Around here, we have this one huge Mexican restaurant that hosts a 50 cent taco, Dos Equis and karaoke night. I always stumble out half drunk and ready to throw up my weight and tortillas. If it weren't for the beer, I probably wouldn't go.

AH...one of my all time favorites, massi! Beer & cheese fries. Add a cheeseburger to that for the perfect breakfast! A good pilsner or an amber beer would be my pick.
There are certain beers I drink just for the taste, but there are also ones I prefer to enhance certain tastes. Abbey Ales like St Bernardus Abt 12 or Maredsous are both great with cigars when I'm not feeling like having scotch. (

Thank god for this thread. I fucking cannot stand the taste of beer. Actually I don't, as a rule, drink alcohol; nothing to do with being SKR8x3DG3 or anything, I just don't give a fuck enough to spend money on beverages worth drinking. Beer is cheap, but I hate the taste. Someone tell me how I'm doing it wrong so I may have an excuse to try something that isn't fucking awful.
Call me late but I echo dethtoll's sentiments entirely.

Those cookies on the left........they are one of the best things in this world. Maybe not that brand, but (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebkuchen) Lebkuchen are to die for!!!!! A man with taste I see. Not so sure about those dodgy crisps you've got there though.

Man, they definitively aren't cookies. :laff:
The nearest term I could say is "cheese chips", since they are selled just beside the potato chips.
They are marvellous, althuogh too light. A packing of those and two beer cans of 0,5 lt. and you know how to pass luxuriously two hours!
