A bit late to the party, but congratulations just the same. I can scarcely imagine the effort it took to reach this point, but from the way you describe it, it almost sounds as though writing the thing was the easy part. Kind of an intimidating thought.
Looks like a lot of us are going to be squeezing in a bit of extra reading this month. Hope it doesn't suck. ;)

I had totally forgotten about this thread or I probably wouldn't have started a new one. My memory is for shit, lately. (this thread was originally about book 2, though, so maybe it doesn't matter.)
The shout-out to TTLG: I started writing the book in June 2000. Partially because you guys liked some of the things I wrote here. Previously, I'd heard nothing encouraging, so... of course I had to say "thanks."
