That is so awesome Blue! Congrats! :thumb:
Jeeze, the most I ever wrote for one story was 100 pages. And then the word processor thingy decided to spare the world from having to read my drivel by dying and taking those pages with it to the hell of obsolete electronics.

Don't you just hate it when your computer decides to be a lit critic? ARGH!
(this is why I have a USB drive thingy...y'know... just in case the CPU feels I don't know what's best for me.)

Argh! I looked up Greywalker at Amazon, found that Amazon has a million new features (like plogging and amazon friends, and favorites list on your profile, and the search in books things, and whatnot) and just wasted a good hour there. Curses!

It's a total time-sink if you let it be. but did you find the book...?

Amazon.com appear to be bundling your novel as part of an amazing offer with "My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding".
I am unsure whether this news will be regarded as pleasing.

Your book's not even been released and has already been cut by $3. But at $10, it's a good deal. It looks great and I think people can also submit reviews before the book is even out.

I think Amazon take money off practically everything, it's part of their standard trickery. Look, you're saving x amount!! Oh hello, here comes the postage and VAT to pile it all back on again. Nice of you to wait until I'd almost paid to tell me the real cost there, Amazon.

Yeah, Amazon never sells a major publisher's books at list price. Only small presses and direct-to-Amazon POD stuff goes out at the list price.
Actually, I'm chuffed to be bundled with PN Elrod. She's a decent author and vaguely in the same niche, well-known among some of the readers I'd like to have and that particular book is a collection of short stories that, while more on the romantic side than mine, are mostly by well-known writers in the urban fantasy niche. It's an improvement over the first bundle--which was a gory vampire romance.
I'm also pleased they finally got the cover art up on the site. The book has early reviews about to be printed in Kirkus and Library Journal, so the "look inside" info will be added and the other Editorial Review stuff updated once those are out (August 1). My editor is at ComiCon this weekend with the "little black book" I mentioned on the blog, so we're hoping interest in the book will go up once all of that hits the streets.
This whole publication process thing is so much longer and more complex than I'd realized when I started out.
Do you guys realize I wrote the first draft of Greywalker during my first 6 months on this forum? It's been a long trek.
Meanwhile, Book 2 is still in process, but the publisher has already asked for information on which to base cover designs. It appears they want to get to shelves in August 2007, so... I'm doing my best to stay on track. Tomorrow is likely to be my last day of lazing about for a while....
Renegen: Yes, if someone has read the ARC or some other pre-press version, then, yeah a review is possible (galleys went out in late May, ARCs will go out in late August I think). I believe Amazon enables that option as soon as the book is listed, even if it's not possible for anyone to have read it.

Well, a certain author's book dropped through my letterbox earlier this week. :D First impressions: cover's very nice, gives the book a rich and yet foreboding feeling. The quality of the material seems reasonable, extra marks for the shout-out to TTLG! :p
Looking forward to reading this, I just need to get The Wasp Factory out of the way first. :(
