@RyushiBlade
When you get 9600GT, please let us know how it works/performs in Dark Engine games (with ddfix and without it) and also in other older games from that era (if you play them still) - and please mention graphics driver version(s) used (and OS you use).
Especially check out if you get fps drops/slowdowns in DE (T1/TG/T2/SS2) games with particle-like effects (smoke/fire/water/rain/snow etc) visible on screen. Use utility like Fraps to check exact fps you got in these places. Optionally check the same thing (if there are any inexplicable severe fps drops, and in which kind of places) in other older games from similar timeframe (1997-2003 - DX3/5/6/7).
TIA!

I have a 8600GT card that I am happy with for all the modern games like Crysis, Medieval II Total War, Gears of War and Bioshock, etc.
But my next card will be an ATI one because of lack of NVidia support for older games.
Specific games I know of that all have problems with any 8000 series NVidia cards:
Shogun
Medieval Total War
Wizards and Warriors
7th Legion
I am sure there are others, but the above are games I would like to play, but cannot as I have an 8000 series videocard! :(
